In case you missed it late last night, the Twins kept to their winning ways with a 3-1 win over the Padres. Tips of the cap must go to Kevin Slowey for a good performance on the hill and infielders Brendan Harris and Brian Buscher for ninth inning home runs.  As mentioned yesterday, this Twins squad is doing the special things that make me wonder if this could be another exciting fall in Minnesota. Tonight, Glen Perkins goes to the mound for the Twins while future Hall of Famer, Greg Maddux does the same for the Padres.

One Day Until the Draft
Word out of Miami this morning is that the Heat are going to take O.J. Mayo with the second pick. If that happens, the Wolves have one logical decision to make; take Michael Beasley at three.

But what if Beasley goes to Miami and the Wolves are still at three? They will need to draft Mayo and work on a trade during the draft. How about swapping picks with Memphis, adding Mike Miller and drafting Kevin Love? It makes sense.

One idea that may not make much sense now, but could be a great step towards the future would be trading Al Jefferson to the Bulls for the #1 pick. The Bulls would get what they really need, and the Wolves would get Derrick Rose at one and possibly Beasley at three. It could happen.
